Abstract
This paper describes possible geometry of half-bridge converter, with symmetrical busbars structure, for parasitic inductance reduction. The possibility of a compact layout and cooling system also considered. Applying design of symmetrical busbars structure it is possible to achieve the following: reduction of stray inductance, reduction of losses, reduction of cooling system dimensions, increase of commutation frequency and reduction of size of elements. Later cost efficiency of different models is estimated and compared.
