Abstract :
In order to research on characteristics and mechanisms of saline sulfate gravel soils under different conditions of unidirectional low temperature salinity expansion, A unidirectional temperature decrease test on natural saline soils from Xinjiang KuiTun-kelamayi highway, a uniform design of interior laboratory simulation method is used. In this method, saline expansion characteristics of 12 groups of samples are analyzed by comparison, with different saline contents, different overlying load, different initial dry density and moisture content. The results show that the main saline expansion and deformation control factors for saline sulfate gravel soils, include, saline content, initial dry density and moisture content. However, overlying load has a strong restraining function of saline expansion and deformation control properties. Passing through laboratory test data, non linear regression analysis shall be applied to come up with a four factor saline expansion calculation formula for saline sulfate gravel soils. In conclusion a comparison of the results with saline sulfate gravel soils theory of expansion and reduction of harmful saline soils shall be made.
