Abstract
Modern teaching theory is presented in this paper and the discovery learning strategy is introduced into Surveying education. The concept of discovery learning is firstly discussed, and then the paper point out that the discovery learning is the inherent needs of the content of surveying. The teaching mode of Surveying based on discovery learning theory is proposed and analyzed with respect to specific teaching contents. At last, teaching and learning strategy is studied in four aspects: the strategy of question, the strategy of situation, the strategy of information and the strategy of homework.
