Abstract :
This paper addresses fault detection issues of railway vehicle suspension systems using a robust fault detection observer designed based on generalized Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov(GKYP) lemma. Two kinds of faults, a secondary lateral damper failure and a lateral accelerometer failure, are concerned. The simulation result shows that the robust fault detection observer is effective for the underlying fault detection problem of vehicle suspension systems.
