Abstract :
This paper compares multiple-input converters based on four different aspects: cost, potential modularity, reliability, and flexibility. The comparison includes seven multiple-input converters previously introduced in the literature as well as three new multiple-input converters presented here. Basic input-to-output voltage relationships for these three new converters are also shown here. The comparison results are shown in one table that allows to qualitatively identify the most suitable multiple-input topology for a given application.
