Abstract :
Development trends of mobile communications beyond third generation cellular systems were observed. Five of the most important development fronts for mobile systems are identified and their activities described in more detail. A vision of the future mobile communication system is presented. The philosophy behind current cellular systems is described and compared with the proposed future system
