Abstract :
Urban traffic structure is the core issue of urban transportation industry. Reasonable urban traffic structure can meet urban residential transit demand, and also reduce greenhouse-gas emission of vehicles so as to decrease negative environment impact. Based on the principles of low-carbon economy, a quantitative model for environmental impact of urban traffic structure is established in this paper, which includes two sub-models. The first sub-model is urban traffic structure optimization model, which considers transport efficiency as target variable and various traffic factors as constraint variables. MOBILE software can be used to calculate carbon emission factors of different vehicles. The second sub-model is to calculate carbon emission gross of vehicles and analyze influence of different changing factors by using COMMUTER software. The quantitative model and corresponding analysis results will offer valuable suggestions for urban transport planning and environment protection.
