Abstract
The paper presents the application of adaptive multigrid methods to the computation of quasistatic electromagnetic fields. The multigrid methods offer a near optimal numerical cost of solving large sparse linear systems of equations resulting from the discretization of partial differential equations. Examples of the application of the method to the analysis of 2 and 3D passive microwave structures are presented
