Abstract :
Soft Ground subsidence is an important factor of subgrade stability. A reasonable forecast of subgrade settlement is of great significance to the safety. ABAQUS finite element software can handle very complex problems and simulate highly nonlinear problems and has a good prospect in predicting the settlements of soft ground, but considering the coefficients of variation of soil parameters are usually large than those of the artificial material and the current investigation means have a big disturbance to soil, survey data can not reflect the nature of the soil, and thus it´s difficult to accurately calculate and forecast soft ground settlement; based on the application of ABAQUS finite element software in predicting of the settlement and the introduction of non-probabilistic reliability analysis of predicting the structure, the reliability of predictions can be evaluated.
