Web-based multi-user virtual campus for distance learning

With the frantic pace of the virtual reality technology, emerging applications such as virtual campus offer the potential to change the nature of information dissemination, particularly in the distance taught and learning arena. This paper develops a web-based multi-user virtual campus for distance learning system, more than a traditional campus, which is an interactive model with fully immersive 3D technologies, allow academic staff and students to engage and interact in real time, in the same virtual space regardless of their actual physical location. Such an approach comes remarkably close to providing a realistic-like interactive experience for multi-user in faraway location.
