Abstract
We present an enumerative technique for encoding and decoding DC-free runlength-limited sequences. We use finite-precision floating point notation to express the weight coefficients. Code rates very close to Shannon capacity can be achieved by using hardware mainly consisting of a ROM of at most 5 kByte
