Abstract :
When using dataglove for capturing the motion of human´s hand, the cross-over effects in relative sensors can severely affect the captured data accuracy. In this paper, we present a novel method for eliminating the cross-over effects in these sensors using natural neighbor interpolation. The goal of our method is to establish a mapping between actual angles of the target sensors and the readings from the relative sensors with cross-over effects based on anatomic constraints. The advantage of our method is that it can work without auxiliary equipment and can be set up conveniently using a small amount of glove readings. The experiment result has shown that our method can effectively eliminate the cross-over effects between relative sensors in dataglove and make a compensation for the mapping between the sensor readings and the actual angles of the target sensors.
