Abstract :
Filtering, grounding and shielding are the most important parameters through which EMC can be achieved against electrostatic discharge, conducted susceptibility and radiated susceptibility. In this technical paper, the authors narrated their practical approach in solving EMI problems in some of the important sub-systems. The authors stressed the need for stage by stage analysis in suppressing the conducted as well as radiated noise. This paper also contains the EMI hardening techniques adopted to achieve EMC and also precautionary measures taken during EMI/EMC performance evaluation.
