Abstract
A four-cylinder diesel engine was researched in this paper. Entity model and finite element model were created by PRO/E and Hyper Mesh software. The analysis was carried out by the software of ANSYS, which to get the effects on the cylinder due to the benchmark change. The result indicate that as the axis of the main bearing hole is the coordinate benchmark for the cylinders and other parts deformation analysis, therefore, some change maybe appeared for the evaluation of the cylinders because of the change of the benchmark. That it should be used in the following design and analysis of the cylinder.
