Abstract :
Economic growth and environmental pollution have gradually become the focal points of energy research of the world´s governments and the academic research. Based on the non-parametric data envelopment analysis (DEA), this paper builds the energy economy - environmental efficiency evaluation model of economic factors and environmental factors. The model, which overcomes the deficiencies of Mono-factor appraisal and Multi-Input Single-Output Model, uses energy, capital stock and labor as the multiple inputs, and uses GDP and pollution emissions as multiple outputs. What´s more, it utilizes the nine cities in Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Region including Nanchang, Xinyu and other cities as the decision units for energy efficiency assessment. This paper ranks effective decision making units on DEA through the CJK model and decomposes the non-effective decision making units on DEA into pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency to analyse the energy efficiency. These analyses show: (1) Sequence of energy efficiency in Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Region from the highest to the lowest is as follow: Xinyu, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Yingtan, Ji´an, Shangrao, Jingdezhen, YIchun, Jiujiang. (2) Energy economy - environmental efficiency model takes more efficient in the performance of energy efficiency than Multiple- Input and Single- Output Model.
