Abstract
Sensorless control is quickly becoming a standard solution for brushless permanent magnet motors. For a controlled start-up, it is important to know the rotor position at standstill This paper presents a new solution making it possible to estimate the rotor position by tracking the spatial inductance variation of delta coupled synchronous toothless motors.
