Abstract :
Nx SC-FDMA has been accepted as one of the main multiple access schemes for LTE-Advanced, which has been attracted much attention for supporting extended bandwidth. The classical transmit antenna diversity technique as frequency switched transmit diversity (FSTD) has divided the transmitted data into two sub-groups, with each group being transmitted from half sub-carriers associated with one transmit antenna, which results in the frequency diversity gain loss in frequency selective channels. In this paper, a joint interleaving with FSTD scheme is proposed for Nx SC-FDMA system. In this scheme, a slot-based dynamic sub-carrier allocation scheme is proposed to introduce extra channels and the resource interleaving method between the channels is employed to achieve additional frequency diversity gain due to the channel variations in frequency domain. Simulation results show that the proposed transmit diversity has better Block Error Rate (BLER) on frequency selective MIMO channels in various modulations, channel coding rate and velocity.
