Abstract :
The microscopic pore structure is the base platform of the pore-scale microscopic percolation mechanism research. This paper is mainly to introduce the micro-CT scanning method for the construction of digital cores and the maximal ball algorithm for the establishment of pore network. For the micro-CT scanning method, we first use micro-CT scanning to get core projection data, and then adopt the FDK algorithm to reconstruct core grayscale images, finally get digital cores by image binary segmentation and imagery processing. While for the maximal ball algorithm, based on the CT data, we first adopt the maximal ball algorithm to get the pore network, and then obtain the pore network model by the utilization and imagery processing. The purpose of this work is to perform pore-scale flow simulation study to predict multiphase flow properties by using pore network models.
