Abstract :
Xilamuren grassland is a typical dry grassland on Inner Mongolia Plateau, the hilly terrain characteristics, means that the topography restricts the areas in the mainland table material transport and energy distribution, affects the growth and development of grassland vegetation, determines grassland utilization efficiency and pasture quality. Therefore, accurate and effective access to information of Xilamuren grassland topography has great significance in reversing the trend of grassland degradation, scientific management and rational use of grassland. This paper based on ArcGIS geographic information system software, uses the study area DEM, analysis topographic features quantitative on grassland Xilamuren, completes topographic feature information extraction and thematic mapping of the study area, and the results were analyzed, designed to explore how scientific use and protection of limited grassland resources for ecological restoration of degraded grassland and provide basis data and reference for environmental management and protection.
