Abstract :
D-PMIPv6 is a Distributed mobility management scheme based on Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) which splits the control and data plane of traditional mobility anchor. Flow mobility support is becoming increasingly common in multi-interfaces environment because it provides flexible network selection per application flow and better network experience for mobile users. Flow mobility support is the missing piece in D-PMIPv6. This motivated us to make an improvement based on D-PMIPv6 to design and analyze a flow mobility management mechanism and implement it in a real network test-bed in this paper. From the experimental results, we show that the flow mobility in the D-PMIPv6 is realized.
