Abstract
Summary form only given. The current rapid growth in the cellular market has already seen an explosion in the civilian use of interference agile modern communication receivers, such as Spread Spectrum (SS) systems. These systems are expected operate in electromagnetically dense hostile communication channels and the success of each system is measured in terms of its resilience against the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) originating in the channel and the nonlinear effects in receiver front ends. In spite of this there is currently no established tools or procedures where interference effects are accounted for at the initial stages of receiver design.
