  • Abstract
    In order to analyze the performance of SC (Single-Carrier) 60 GHz communication system, a structure of physical layer is designed based on IEEE 802.11ad standard. Supporting up to 2.16 GHz channel bandwidth, the transmission rate of the physical layer is close to 7G bit/s. At the same time, it adopt to single carrier and OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology. In addition, using beam forming technology to offset the high path loss of 60GHz frequency band, and supporting fast session transfer between 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 60GHz frequency band. Existing Wi-Fi cannot be satisfied with the applications demand of the multiple wireless communication technologies, such as HD (High- Definition) video streaming wireless transmission. In the future, the development of smart home entertainment system urgent needs a new broadband wireless communication technology. New broadband smart home network based on 802.11ad will bring a new vitality to the smart home industry, give users abundant and excessive application experience, and open a new era of home entertainment.
