Abstract
The Wireless Sensor Converge-cast Networks (WSCNs) are widely applied in many fields such as medical applications and environmental monitoring. The monitoring data are collected from the sensors and gathering toward the sink node. A coding aware routing scheme based on Connected Dominating Set is provided. Based on CDS, a coding condition, named Improved Coding Conditions (ICC), is defined with an optimum combination of coding opportunity and coding validity. Based on the ICC, a scheme, called ICC-based Converge-Cast Scheme (IC4S), is developed to improve the network performance. The corresponding analysis and experimental results indicate the feasibility of the IC4S, which can choose the optimized combination allocation with reliable transmission and small cost.
