Abstract
This paper proposes an infrastructure in which the relay is shared by three neighboring cells with distributed antennas. In this infrastructure, relay can simultaneously communicate with three neighboring cells and the users in the edges of these three cells. For downlink, relay receives and detects the signal from the three cells base stations, and relay transmits the signal to the users in the edges using multi user MIMO techniques. Since the users in the edges of three cells can cooperate by the aid of the shared relay, the edge throughput can be improved greatly. And as the backhaul is not required, the cost is not so high.
