Abstract
Synthesizing antenna arrays with a minimum number of elements is a problem of high importance in different applications. A relevant contribution in solving such a problem is currently given by a number of synthesis techniques based on the Compressive Sensing (CS). For this reason, we present herein an innovative approach wherein fast pre-processing and post-processing techniques are proposed in order to further improve performance of CS in the design of linear arrays with shaped patterns. Numerical examples in support of the proposed processing procedure are also provided.
