Abstract :
A large number of masonry structures are widely used around the world and in particular in the newly constructed houses in the rural area of China. Despite its wide application, the masonry structures and materials are still not fully investigated and theoretical explanations on characteristics of masonry structures are far from mature. This article proposes a structure model particularly suitable for the houses in the rural area of China, and then the model is used for the finite element simulation and analysis of continuous collapse for the typical houses in rural area.
