Abstract :
The distributed network of dynamic spectrum sharing communication system used p-persist slotted ALOHA as medium access control protocol, but MAC layer usually does not support floating-point operations. In this paper, we analyze the principle of dynamic adaptive p-persistent algorithm (DA-pPA), and work toward the computational issue of the current MAC algorithms. The proposed algorithms incluse the binary shifted approximate algorithm (BSAA) and Thaler series approximate algorithm (TSAA). The system performance of the approximation algorithms are evaluated via numerical calculation and simulation. The results shows that the approximation algorithm is able to simplify the computational complexity, and consequently approach the theoretical performance of the p-persistent algorithm.
