Abstract :
The measurement uncertainty of the multi-state radiometer, the first instrument capable of measuring the impedance and the noise temperature of one-port devices, is analyzed. Diverse contributions to the uncertainty, related to the radiometer calibration and the measurement de-embedding, are thoroughly considered on the base of the covariance matrix determined for the measurands. Experiments made using the radiometer support the analysis.
