Abstract
A bit-interleaved coded modulation with iterative decoding (BICM-ID) is proposed using a serial concatenation of two low-density generator matrix (LDGM) codes. The performance of this scheme is analyzed via computer simulations over both AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels for various signaling methods. The results show the ability of the proposed scheme to perform near the Shannon capacity limits.
