Abstract
Based on the MOD17A3 data of NASA EOS/ MODIS (Terra) and land use remote sensing data of Beibu Gulf Economic Zone during two periods of 2000 and 2006, GIS technology was used to obtain land-use transfer information map, land use change matrix and the change of vegetation carbon sequestration. We constructed the ecological risk assessment method of vegetation carbon sequestration according to land use and vegetation carbon sequestration change structure characteristic. It was used to get ecological risk index of vegetation carbon sequestration distribution over Beibu Gulf Economic Zone.
