Abstract
Summary form only given. This paper presents the outcomes of a Workshop titled ´Technological Literacy Counts´: which was held October 9-10, 1998 in Baltimore, MD, USA. A goal of the Workshop was to establish a working and partnering relationship between engineers and precollege (K-12) educators. The Workshop was a two-day, highly participative and interactive event comprised of plenaries, panel sessions and breakouts. The paper reports on the issues raised, the resolutions proposed, future collaborations between the engineering and K-12 education communities, a plan for on-going workshops and conferences, and an action plan for both short-term and long-term activities.
