  • Abstract
We describe and compare three practical equalization schemes for space-time block coded transmissions with and without outer channel coding. The three schemes extend the original symbol-level schemes developed for flat-fading channels to a block-level implementation either in the time or frequency domain. The considered schemes are applied to the EDGE-TDMA system and their performances are compared under both perfect and estimated channel conditions. Various practical aspects of implementation are also addressed.
