Abstract :
This paper proposes a Gabor feature based ionospheric clutter region extraction method in RD map for its good performance of picking up the orientation information from such clutter in a Range-Doppler map. The better performance of the proposed method is shown by comparing with the statistical information based and adaptive threshold based methods. Such results can be used for ionospheric clutter sounding, interference mitigation with STAP, system performance evaluation, and carrier frequency selection.
