  • Abstract
    The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics and the process of family business. The research findings indicate: (1) The characteristic of family business includes Ownership-Management-Involvement, Inheritance and Power Transfer, and Teamwork between Kin and Non-Kin. (2) Family entrepreneurial process includes three important parts of family team, opportunity identification and resource acquisition. (3) The team of family entrepreneurship explains that as an entrepreneurial main body, it is quite different than the entrepreneur or team in general entrepreneurial management meaning. It has unique resource to solve entrepreneurial risk and uncertainty issue. In addition, the family involvement will have influence on the entrepreneurship. (4) For the opportunity identification of family entrepreneurship, viewpoints such as personal traits, entrepreneurial learning and social network are used to investigate entrepreneurial opportunity issues. (5) In the resource acquisition part of family entrepreneurship, human capital, social capital, survivability capital, financial capital and governance capital are explained.
