Abstract :
A combined dipole-multiturn loop antenna is proposed for the use at the lower portion of the high-frequency (HF) band. Stand alone and vehicle mounted configurations are considered to determine important tradeoffs between antenna size and its electrical performance. It is also shown that the vehicle affects the input resistance based on antenna orientation.
