Abstract
According to the concentrations of Cr, Cu, Zn, As, Cd and Pb in the latosol f rom the West of Hainan Island, the integrated pollution effect of heavy metals of these latosol is evaluated by the technique of single factor index and Hakanson ecological risk. The results show that the average concentration of Cr, Cu, Zn, As, Cd and Pb is 39.245 mg/kg, 36.937 mg/kg, 57.997mg/kg , 17.606mg/kg, 0.198mg/kg, 39.890mg/kg, respectively. It is revealed that the main pollution factor is Pb and the sequence of factor index is Pb>;Cu>;As>;Cr>;Zn>;Cd. And the potential ecological risk is As>;Cd>;Pb>;Cu>;Cr>;Zn. The average potential ecological risk is45.623,and it is therefore concluded that the latosol from the East of Hainan Island has slight potential ecological risk.
