Abstract :
In this paper, a microfluidic Lab on Chip (LOC) platform for clinical diagnosis of glucose is proposed. The method is based on measuring the amount of glucose in a sample using a colorimetric enzyme-kinetic method. The colorimetric changes are detecting using an absorbance system consisting of a light emitting diode and a phototransistor working on the wave length of 505 nm. The proposed platform is intended to be integrated with microfluidic PCB-based platforms for portable use. The experiments have shown good stability of the measure due to the use of a differential measurement circuit.
