Abstract :
EGR sensor is a key feedback component in close-loop EGR control. How to develop different type of new EGR sensor from basic prototype rapidly and low-costly is a problem for manufacturers. This calls for the intention of this research to study EGR sensors´ R&D process and its support system. According to actual needs of the manufacturer, this paper redesigned EGR sensor R&D process by integrating parametric modeling and virtual molding, and developed a CPD system for EGR sensor project management. An example was introduced to demonstrate the step of the redesigned R&D process. Appling result indicated the superiority of the redesigned process to original one.
