Abstract :
This paper presents a new uni planar metamaterial antenna configuration. The proposed metamaterial antenna is implemented using new configuration of complementary split ring resonator etched in the radiating plane. The proposed antenna has been designed to introduce multi band operation, compactness in size at low frequencies. The antenna performance has been checked using electromagnetic full wave simulations and confirmed by experimental measurements. Both results can demonstrate up to quad antenna bands with return loss better than 10 dB. Moreover, the antenna preserves the broadside pattern at the four bands.
