Abstract :
In this study, the effect of nearby object such as an user´s hand on the basic characteristics of folded monopole antenna was analyzed in WiMAX/WLAN applications. As a result, It was cleared that the antenna performances were maintained to a certain degree, while the degradation of the efficiencies became large immediately when the antenna was overlaid by the hand.
