Abstract :
Next generation technological infrastructure development requires an understanding of the emerging user needs discerned from trends in technology adoption and development. This paper explores a number of emerging needs in in-flight entertainment, computing and communications services (IFEC). These services are mostly value-adds that are more likely to succeed than just pure internet access, and some of the services also enable better in-flight service, thus reducing operating costs.
