Abstract :
In this paper radiation properties of conformal antenna arrays are systematically assessed both experimentally and theoretically. Quantitative comparisons are made among planar, pseudoconformal and conformal arrays. Explanations are provided of the development of extremely accurate element models which permit precision prediction of overall array performance. The experimental system design is discussed in detail.
