Abstract
In this paper, a compact planar antenna is proposed, for RFID application at microwave band. The antenna is fabricated by using RO-3006 dielectric substrate with permittivity 6.15. Momentum ADS software is used for simulation design process. The antenna has been tested with the Vector Network Analyzer and with its three branch sinusoid shape a resonance frequency was measured at 6.8 GHz. The best return loss for the antenna is -25 dB (measured) with a gain of 3.16 dBi. The total size of the sinusoid-shaped antenna is 32 × 8 mm.
