Abstract :
The paper introduced the constructivist theory and its application of individualized instruction in the multimedia computer assisted language learning (MCALL), and based on Lewis ´ individual study model, related way of the instructional materials of Experiencing English. Compared to traditional mode, the experiment showed that the individualized instruction mode with the aid of multimedia enhanced the learners´ pragmatic skills of listening and reading, but the traditional formal instruction is more effective in enriching the learners´ linguistic knowledge about vocabulary and structure.
