Abstract :
We used CCD (Charge Coupled Device) for vacuum arc images acquisition of vacuum switch high-voltage arcing chamber. The method uses MATLAB auxiliary image processing technique to remove image noise, render gray equivalent curve, and process binary and extract edge for vacuum switch arc image. Experimental results show that, it is convenient and effective to use MATLAB auxiliary processing technology for image noise suppression and information extraction. The arc image has great visual effect to lay a foundation for effective and reliable diagnostic about switch and plasma arc shape parameters.
