  • Abstract
By means of landscape ecology theory and method, it takes Taiyuan which is a national important energy industrial city as a case study with the aid of RS and GIS based on the ETM data in 2008. It takes surface radiant temperature as the urban thermal environment effect´s index in order to analysis the relations of green patch characteristic and thermal environment, and provide a basis for urban green patch building and urban planning. It shows that the own characteristics of urban green patches have a greater influence to its internal surface radiant temperature. Both inside and outside temperature difference is proportional to its area and perimeter. That is to say, with the increase of park area or perimeter, the temperature tends to rise between inside and outside of green patch. For green patch with little areas, the influence of shape index which to reflect the complexity of patch borders more than the perimeter, it shows a positive correlation between them.
