Abstract

This paper puts forwards the research on statistical correlation between Yangtze River waterway construction and basin economy development. Through quantitative analysis of statistical correlation between Yangtze River waterway construction and basin economic development, it can help to further recognize the role and status of Yangtze River waterway in the basin economy and social development. Because both Yangtze River waterway construction and basin economy development are multi-variable systems, this paper uses canonical correlation analysis to perform the research. Finally, a conclusion is drawn that Yangtze River waterway construction and basin economy development have great correlation.
