Abstract :
This paper describes a new model on how to create business on an IMS based IP service system for enterprise and community level offering full variety of basic IMS services with an affordable price tag. The basic idea lies on down scaling the very pricy Telecom scale IMS into a small scale OpenSource Ubuntu / Linux platform and an OpenSource IMS system. Basically enterprise and community scale systems do not need all the full scale functionalities of 3GPP/3GPP2/ETSI-TISPAN IMS standard carrying several million subscribers and therefore the system simplicity makes the difference.
