E-government construction is the most important content of the national economy and society informatization in China today. It is a basic national policy to promote China informatization by means of e-government. This paper firstly introduces the development process, current states, and development strategies of e-government in China. Furthermore, the two national key e-government projects that are currently undertaking by the State Information Center, the Golden Macro-economy project and China Govnet project, are described
