Abstract :
The considered rotary table is an autonomous device which can be applied to different tool machines. Especially it is designed for milling machines. Applied direct drive is actually a torque motor. One of the most unique features of a torque motors concerns their physical dimensions ratio. They have a relatively larger diameter than the dimension of their axial length. This paper includes results of simulation investigation for dynamic rigidity of direct driven rotary table (regarded as a ratio of amplitude input harmonic function amplitude to response amplitude) tested in different conditions. On the basis of created model and its transfer function the frequency characteristic has been calculated for different values of controller´s settings (gains and time-constants) and for different moments of inertia. For performing simulation investigation the Matlab software has been used. The results have been talked over in this paper. To confirm correctness of received findings the preliminary measurements of dynamic stiffness were carried out for real object.
